Discover Chincoteague Through the Lens of “America’s Nature Guy”
For the past two years, filmmaker and television host Peter Schriemer, known as “America’s Nature Guy,” has been working with Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge to capture its beauty and wonder in a special film for his All Over the Map series, which highlights national wildlife refuges across the country.
Now, it’s time to celebrate the place we call home! With work featured on PBS, Animal Planet, Smithsonian Channel, and more, Peter brings his signature storytelling to Chincoteague, showcasing the natural beauty, rich history, and unforgettable wildlife that make our island so special.
Join Peter Schriemer and the local partners who helped bring this project to life—including Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge, Assateague Island National Seashore, Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce and Certified Visitor Center, Chincoteague Volunteer Fire Company, and Museum of Chincoteague Island—for the free premiere of All Over the Map: Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge at the Island Theatre, 4074 Main Street.
Experience our pristine beaches, glorious sunrises, incredible birdwatching, historic lighthouse, and legendary Chincoteague Ponies through Peter’s lens. Whether you’ve called Chincoteague home for years or simply fell in love with it along the way, this special film is sure to remind you what makes this place extraordinary.
