Sounding Rocket Launch

NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility in Virginia is scheduled to support a sounding rocket launch for the U.S. Navy in support of a Fleet Training Live Fire exercise on Thursday, Oct. 1. The rocket launch may be visible from the local Wallops area.
NASA Wallops provides services such as vehicle tracking, data telemetry, and range safety from NASA’s only owned and operated launch range to ensure successful missions operations for the agency, commercial partners, and other government agencies.

Fall Leaf Napkin Printing Workshop

Take fall leaves and fabric paint to create beautiful prints on cotton napkins. Each set includes 4 napkins, with additional

napkins available for an extra charge. Feel free to bring an item from home you'd like to leaf-print too! All materials

Movies at Island Theatre

The Chincoteague Island Arts Organization is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization, incorporated in Virginia in December 2011. CIAO was created to save, utilize and maintain the vintage Island Theatre as a performing arts center for Chincoteague, offering a unique downtown venue for films and events.

Now beautifully restored, the Island Theatre Performing Arts Center (formerly the Island Roxy), offers recent and classic films as well as concerts, plays and all kinds of other entertainment. The theater aims to please the local community and visitors alike with a diverse selection of exciting events!
