Chincoteague Cultural Alliance will host their Annual Plein Air Art Event with artists painting on Chincoteague and Assateague Islands September 5th through September 12th.

Quick Draw Contest is Thursday, September 10 at Robert Reed Waterfront Park from 12:30pm - 4pm. The event is open to all local artists (even those not participating in the Plein Air event). $5 to enter. Register in person at 12:30pm at the pavilion and paint from 1pm - 3pm in the surrounding area. Judging and sale will take place from 3pm - 4pm.

Plein Air Show & Sale will be held on Saturday, September 12th from 6pm - 9pm at the Chincoteague Center, 6155 Community Drive. The event is free and open to the public with hors d'oeuvres and sweets. Cash bar available. Come and enjoy the beautiful art and purchase some to enjoy for years to come.

Nearly 60 fine artists from the Mid-Atlantic area and beyond gather in early September to paint outdoors on Chincoteague and Assateague Islands. On that Saturday evening, their art work will be displayed for sale at at the Chincoteague Center. A portion of all sales goes to help the Chincoteague Cultural Alliance promote the arts on the island.

Summer is not over until the Chincoteague Pony Drill Team performs at the Beebe Ranch! 

The Drill Team puts on a spectacular show and it's a great way to celebrate all that the Chincoteague Ponies can do! 

The $20 admission (free for children 12 and under) covers access to the Beebe Ranch exhibits ( which will remain open until after the show) a meet and greet with the dedicated riders and their ponies at 4:30 and the show beginning at 5:00PM! 

Admission can be paid the day of the event! 

Please bring your own chair. It will be so nice to see the show under the big tent provided by the Kiwanis of Chincoteague. Thank you!

Our evening Pirate, Legend and Lore tour is fun and factual! Learn about Chincoteague’s link to piracy, sunken ships off our shores, a tragic death that leads to a ghost story and so much more about this fascinating little island! 

All tours start at 7:00pm 

These are walking tours in the historic downtown, with several places to sit along the way, 1/2 mile at a leisurely pace,
