Join us as Kim Anderson signs copies of her charming children's book, Count With Me in Chincoteague, a perfect keepsake for young readers and families who love the island.

Chincoteague Island Library to Host Mobile Zoo Event

The Chincoteague Island Library is hosting a special wildlife program for kids of all ages featuring the Coastal Wilds Zoo’s “Mobile Zoo Crew” on August 8 at 2:00 PM. This event will take place at Christ United Methodist Church, 6253 Church Street, Chincoteague, VA.

The Mobile Zoo Crew is Coastal Wilds Zoo’s traveling education team, they will bring their animal ambassadors, offering an up-close hands‑on wildlife learning experience. The Crew shares fun stories and educational insights about each animal, making their presentations informative and fun.

Sound Bath

Sound healing is a deeply relaxing experience that uses soothing tones and vibrations to calm the nervous system. During this class, you will be immersed in the gentle sounds of instruments such as crystal singing bowls, chimes, and other therapeutic tools. These frequencies can help shift your brainwaves into a more meditative state, allowing the body to rest and restore. As you relax, tension may begin to release, both physically and emotionally.

One of our favorite summer traditions is returning, and we couldn’t be more excited!

Join the Chincoteague Cultural Alliance  for a series of FREE concerts this summer at Robert Reed Waterfront Park in Chincoteague's historic downtown. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy some great music.

The season kicks off on July 4th with a performance by the Salisbury Community Band to celebrate America's 250th Birthday, with even more incredible performers taking the stage throughout the summer!
