The Chincoteague Island Farmers and Artisans Market & Kitchen Art Gallery at the Chincoteague Cultural Alliance, 6309 Church Street, will kick off the 2026 season on May 9th from 9am - 1pm with 45+ vendors offering fresh local seafood, produce, other good things to eat and a wide array of arts & crafts.

World Migratory Bird Day at the Bateman Center

Join us at the Bateman Center for a day of fun on Saturday, May 9! It's World Migratory Bird Day, and this year's theme is "Every Bird Counts – Your Observations Matter."

The Eastern Shore Coalition Against Domestic Violence is holding their first annual Mother's Day Eve Oyster Roast and Pig Pickin' Fundraiser
May 9th, from 4PM to 7PM, at Vaux Hall Farms in Melfa. Tickets are $75 and include all you can eat oysters, clams, whole roasted hog, beer, wine, music and some amazing raffles to enter. A lot of our clientele at the shelter are mothers and families and we would like this event to be a celebration of women, mothers, and families across the shore.
