Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce – Opening for a Marketing/Membership Specialist at its Eastern Shore office in Melfa, VA. This position is full-time (40 hours per week). The office is located at the Eastern Shore Chamber of Commerce at the Airport Industrial Park. With a competitive salary plus benefits, this position is perfect for a community driven individual.
This position works directly with the Executive Director in creating and updating the ESVA Chamber’s Marketing Plan and is ultimately responsible for content creation and leading educational opportunities to support and grow business partners on the ESVA in addition to the recruitment and retention of Chamber Members through contact both in person and over the phone.
Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, business, communications, or a proven track record in a similar role is preferred. Understanding of the marketing technology stack including digital asset management systems, content/social media distribution tools, marketing automation software, content management systems, programmatic tools for paid digital media placements and SEO / SEM is essential. Applicants should demonstrate knowledge of marketing communication experience in both B2C and B2B; played a significant role in successful social media production and management; have experience using analytical tools to measure ROI; experience building relationships with media influencer’s to promote brand; and should overall be able to self manage a fluid, complex work environment.
Personal Skills: Applicant should possess outstanding oral communication and writing skills and have the ability to function as a liaison to assist business owners and represent the Chamber within the local community.
Computer Skills: Must be familiar with Power Point, Excel, and Word as well as have the ability to learn Chamber specific computer software applications. Creation and maintenance of analytical / data management tools to report for the Chamber are required. Additional skills in other applications, such as Constant Contact, CC Assist, and Hootsuite while not specifically required, are also helpful.
Work Skills: Applicant must be able to work independently serving members and representing the Chamber of Commerce to the citizens and business owners in both Accomack and Northampton Counties.
