Kelly Cosby Photography is rooted in my love for nature, family, and the joy of sharing beauty through images. For me, photography is more than capturing a moment—it’s about connection: between myself, the subject, and those who view the image.
My three sisters and I share a deep passion for photography. Each year, we reunite from three different states to photograph the wild Chincoteague ponies. These ponies hold a special place in my heart—not only for their untamed beauty, but for the memories and laughter we’ve shared while photographing them together. The recognition my Chincoteague photographs received inspired me to launch Kelly Cosby Photography, where I share my work through an online gallery, print collections, and my self-published book, Chincoteague Pony Round-Up: A Week of Wonder. The book features over 150 full-color photographs celebrating Pony Swim Week and the community that makes Chincoteague so special.
Over time, my camera has taken me beyond Chincoteague, capturing other wild horse herds across the United States and the breathtaking landscapes they call home. I believe a great photograph should evoke something—wonder, nostalgia, or a quiet sense of awe at God’s creation. I hope my images do just that and that you’ll find one that speaks to your heart and connects you to the beauty I’ve been blessed to capture.
