Community Tennis Association of Chincoteague Island, VA Inc

PO Box 922, Chincoteague Island, VA 23336

“TENNIS EVERYONE!”  The Community Tennis Association of Chincoteague Virginia (CTACV)  purpose is to promote  tennis as a life-long sport through casual play on weekdays and Saturdays, free clinics for youth and adults each summer, and member tournaments and parties, as well as other special events.

The CTACV had its beginnings back in the 1980s when some of the founding members played together on a rented tennis court on Maddox Boulevard.  The group worked with and provided partial funding through the Town Council to develop tennis courts at Memorial Park.  Two courts opened in 1993 and a third court was completed in 2005, again with Association financial support. A practice backboard was purchased by the CTACV and installed by Town employees in the spring of 2016.

The CTACV is a member of the United States Tennis Association (USTA) and has received grant funds and assistance over the years to promote tennis on the Island. Membership is open to all, thus our slogan: “Tennis Everyone!”

Annual Membership Dues: $30 for a couple, $20 for Individuals (over 18), and $10 for Juniors (17 and under).
