National Wildlife Refuge Week at Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge
We invite you to celebrate National Wildlife Refuge Week at Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge. Throughout the day, visitors will be admitted free of charge to enjoy a variety of family activities and exhibitors at the Herbert H. Bateman Educational and Administrative Center.
Learn more about wildlife and wild lands through hands-on exhibits, including native plants and gardening, soil painting, and a marine touch tank. Get a bird’s eye view of the refuge from the top of the historic Assateague Lighthouse.
It is a day full of opportunities to connect with some of the country’s most pristine wildlife areas, right in your own backyard.
Rediscover your true nature and enjoy a day celebrating your National Wildlife Refuge System!
