Lift off is scheduled for 5:56 p.m. for NASA’s Wallops Flight Facility’s Antares Rocket Launch on August 10. The Northrop Grumman CRS-16 Cargo Resupply mission will carry the #Cygnus spacecraft with nearly 8,200 pounds of cargo to the International Space Station.
For your safety, the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge / Assateague Island National Seashore, VA will close to all access starting at 2:00 p.m. that afternoon. The refuge will reopen following the launch (or if it gets scrubbed). If NASA needs to reschedule, the refuge closure will occur 4 hours prior to the new launch time.
The NASA Wallops Flight Facility website offers details, launch viewing tips and updates on the schedule!
Launch viewing information can be found at
PLEASE NOTE: Launches can be scrubbed at any time due to a launch sensitive issue. If the launch is scrubbed, new dates and launch times will be announced.
