Coronavirus (COVID-19)
The Chincoteague Chamber of Commerce is working closely with the Town of Chincoteague, which is actively monitoring all available information regarding the Coronavirus (COVID-19). This monitoring includes but is not limited to daily briefings with the Virginia Department of Emergency Management, Virginia Department of Health and Accomack Department of Public Safety and weekly communication with the Virginia Department of Rail and Public Transportation in regards to local trolley service. They are also reviewing local plans to ensure local government and services will continue should we find ourselves in the grips of COVID-19 in our region.
Public Service Announcements concerning COVID-19 will be posted here and on the Town’s website and Facebook page. The Town will communicate further information as necessary and when immediately available from public health experts through state and federal partnerships.
