The 2010 Pony Swim and Auction Swim July 28, Auction July 29, Swim Back July 30, 2010. The 2009 pony swim and auction took place July 29 and July 30, 2009. This year's auction: 70 ponies were sold, average cost $1,344.29, high bid $11,700, low bid $500, total sales $94,100. |

| To Note: Coast Guard on Alert for Illegal Charter Boats During Chincoteague Pony Swim (PDF format) (The Coast Guard is cautioning tourists attending the pony swim to avoid boats that do not have licensed captains, and in some cases have not been inspected by the Coast Guard.) The entertainment schedule is subject to change. The carnival may be extended in the case of inclement weather. All events are on daylight saving time - all times are approximate.
