Best Space-Place Contest
Bring your group of buddies and decorate your eating area with your
favorite “oyster” theme. Be creative and let your imagination run
wild. We have had carousels, pony corrals, German, Irish, and Roman
themes and last year’s winner was “Shell-a-bration”. Look for the
sign up area when you arrive to make sure you are entered in the
contest. The winning group gets their photo on our large framed
tribute to ten years of Oyster Festival tradition on display in the
chamber office. Lots of fun for everyone!
Festival Weekend Extravaganza
Our annual festivals are a time for making new friends as well as
renewing old friendships. By popular demand, we offer an exciting
raffle called “The Festival Weekend Extravaganza”. This raffle will
only be available to the festival ticket holders and is sold the day
of the festival only!! The grand prize is an all expense paid
weekend to next year’s festival. The package includes—free
accommodations for Friday and Saturday, free meals, free festival
tickets, free T-shirts, plus many other fun and exciting things to
have, taste and do. We look forward to seeing you at all our
festivals.

Here are
some helpful hints to make your festival experience more enjoyable.
1. There are only a
limited number of tables available for you to sit. You may wish to
bring your own folding tables, chairs, blankets, etc. to ensure your
comfort.
2. We realize the campgrounds allow pets, but for this event PETS
WILL NOT be allowed in the festival area. |

3. To help keep your cost down, eat all you want at the
festival, but please do not remove food from the grounds.
4. Festival food is served from various booths requiring you to go to each one
to get what you want to eat. Souvenir trays will be on sale to assist you in
carrying your food. Soft drinks are provided in the ticket price. Food will be
limited per trip, per person, at each booth to allow everyone to get something
without having to wait a long time. You may come back later for more.

5. Beer will be sold. You are
permitted to bring in your own coolers. For safety purposes, please DON’T bring
in glass containers. BECAUSE FOOD CANNOT BE TAKEN FROM THE FESTIVAL GROUNDS,
COOLERS ARE SUBJECT TO SEARCH AS YOU LEAVE.
6. Souvenirs will be sold at the festival. Please keep in mind that these items
sell out quickly. There will be T-shirts, mugs, trays, can coolies, etc. VISA &
MASTERCARD ACCEPTED.

7. A Festival Extravaganza raffle will be offered. Tickets for
this raffle will only be available to the festival ticket holders. Winner will
receive T-shirts, tickets, lodging, gift certificates for meals and much more
for the following year’s festival.

8. A “BEST SPACE/PLACE AWARD” will
be given out. Go all out and dress up and/or decorate your area. See details on
back.
9. Tickets sell out quickly due to limited availability. We urge you to purchase
your tickets early. Please contact our office for ticket information at
757-336-6161. VISA & MASTERCARD ACCEPTED.
10. Every attempt will be made to have the festival on the date and time
advertised. However, circumstances beyond the Chamber’s control may require
rescheduling or delay. No refunds will be issued in such case.
