Chincoteague voted “Best Weekend Getaway to
the Beach”
in March-April 2007 issue of Hampton Roads Magazine
“The flip-flop town of Chincoteague is our favorite base camp for
exploring the 37 miles of pure, unadulterated Atlantic beach of
Assateague Island National Seashore, where wild ponies frolic and
there’s nary a high rise in sight. Rent a bike to explore the quaint
island town of seafood restaurants, cute boutiques and museums
chronicling the seafaring life. Across the short causeway to Assateague
Island awaits nature trails, bird watching and wild, unspoiled beach.” |

volunteers in many areas. These areas include visitor center sales,
events, grant researcher, and tour bus guide on Assateague Island,
Virginia.
There are opportunities with Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge
and the Eastern Shore National Wildlife Refuge that we help support
with our sales.
