This month featuring singer songwriter Mary Flenner from West Virginia. Harmon Dem from St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands and local poet Robin Butler. $5/$3 students. Farming Life Fair

Ker Place, Onancock, VA
Join the Eastern Shore of VA Historical Society in celebrating farming life on the Eastern Shore for this free 2-day event at Ker Place. Friday night kicks off the weekend at 6:00 pm with the Exhibit Opening and Music on the Lawn featuring big band style music. Saturday's festivities will include a Panel Discussion about farming life at 10:00 AM and a Fair from 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM with a myriad of activities to include: farmer’s market, antique farming equipment, Ten Good Sheep, Book Bin, children’s games, and much more. The event is based on a series of oral history recordings about Eastern Shore farming life in the 1930’s and 40’s and funded by the Virginia Foundation for the Humanities.  Visit www.shorehistory.org or call 757-787-8012 for more information.

11th Annual Chincoteague Plein Air Painting Event
Over 45 artists spend 2 days painting outdoors on Assateague and Chincoteague Islands. On Saturday from 6 - 10 PM those framed paintings will be on exhibit for viewing and sale. The event is free and open to the public and held in the Parish Hall at Christ UMC at 6253 Church St. The Plein Air event is sponsored by Chincoteague Cultural Alliance and is part of the Second Saturday Art Stroll.
