May 8, 2010 3rd Annual Mother Earth Day The Chincoteague Cultural Alliance’s 3rd Annual Mother Earth Day Festival will take place on Saturday, May 8th, at the Robert Reed Downtown Park on Chincoteague Island from 10am to 5pm. The festival combines environmental education demonstrations, arts & crafts, live music and community service on the “weekend the mothers collide.” Click here for more information (Microsoft Word) May 8, 2010 Virginia Eastern Shore Household Hazardous Waste Collection The Chincoteague Cultural Alliance (CCA) has teamed up with the Eastern Shore of Virginia Ground Water Committee to hold a Household Hazardous Waste Collection trailer during the 3rd Annual Mother Earth Day Festival on Saturday, May 8th. Household hazardous waste will be collected from Northampton and Accomack County residents from 10am to 2pm at the parking lot adjacent to the old bridge at Robert Reed Downtown Park.
