Don't leave Chincoteague without visiting the island's newest family attraction, the CHINCOTEAGUE PONY CENTRE. Locally owned and operated, the Pony Centre is located at 6417 Carriage Drive on Chicken City Road (between Maddox Blvd. and Church St.). Browse around the gift shop which features local photography, country and folk art gifts, fudge and confections, "MISTY" items, many horse related items and gifts, "big kids" and little kids toys.

Inside the barn area, you can take a ride on a Chincoteague pony, sign up for a riding lesson, and meet the Allen Family Misty descendant ponies. Take a break in the video room and watch non-stop presentations featuring Chincoteague. There are many interesting displays in the barn including Misty memorabilia, carriage displays, and the official mascot of the Chincoteague Pony Centre, "TEAGUER," who was purchased at the annual Pony Swim and Auction. He will be happy to pose for a picture with you!  Ask about how you can become a member of "Teaguer's" fan club.
