| Evening Programs
at the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge Sponsored by the Chincoteague Natural History Association in cooperation with the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service, "First Friday" programs provide a series of informational and educational presentations on Refuge and environmental topics. Admission is FREE for all First Friday programs and after 6 PM the Refuge entry fee is waived for attendees of the programs. Summer-Fall 2008 Schedule August 1, 7 PM - Larry Points "Birds, Beaches and the Wild Ponies" September 5, 7 PM - Dick Roberts "The Assateague Fish & Wildlife Project" October 3, 7 PM - Myrna Cherrix "Historic Assateague Lighthouse & Village" November 7, 7 PM - Gretchen Knapp "Ecology of Assateague" All programs held in the auditorium of the Herbert H. Bateman Educational & Administrative Center on the Chincoteague National Wildlife Refuge. |
